My grandfather is Spanish and my grandmother is French. They met during World War II when my grandfather was in the army. But it wasn't easy for them in the beginning. It took some time for my grandmother to learn how to communicate with my grandfather. But they eventually got the hang of it after using a lot of hand gestures and dictionaries.
